Congress: Donate Oil Company Contributions To Save The Gulf

Election Day is next week, with many Democrats, Republicans, and Independents fighting tooth and nail for seats in Congress and in state races around the U.S. And, as with every election cycle, the source of campaign contributions are under scrutiny. One group in particular is never taken to task, yet continues to pour money into these races: the oil and gas industry. During 2010, these contributors fed nearly $14 million to federal political parties and candidates.

These bloated funds represent money that could be used to clean up the massive spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Urge your representatives in Congress to donate the contributions that they have received from oil and gas companies to support charities working to save wildlife, infrastructure, and the environment in the Gulf.
