The City of StLouis
submitted a proposal for a new NFL Stadium that would accommodate both an NFL Team and a MLS Team!Since I used to live and work in this proposed site location of the #STLNFL Stadium (here is a Google Map Snapshot for you to see where the proposed NFL Stadium location is). I also added a few building locations (in Red) to the map in the first photo to make it easier to distinguish the buildings with all the currently unused, for sale and vacant land locations available to build on.
As you can see in the photos provided most of the area is already one big parking lot. So I call that statement that claimed the area will be a parking lot is very misleading as it already is one giant parking lot.
I noticed a few tweets about tearing down buildings to build a giant parking lot and is why I provided this map overview to show you that the current location is mostly- vacant buildings, existing parking lots, buildings that are for sale, and city property.
The second photo of the proposed NFL Stadium Location
also from Google Maps shows many of the Streets Names, current Edward Jones Dome location, Four Season Hotel and Casino, Shady Jacks Saloon, and the Mississippi River.
Shady Jacks. Correction:1/11/15 per http://fox2now.com/2015/01/10/couple-with-business-in-planned-area-for-new-stadium-speaks-out/ it doesn't sound like Shady Jacks is for sale per this Faux News interview |
