Diatomaceous Earth has Many Uses



There is still one proven Organic Old School method that eliminates insects without the health risks of toxic poisons.  Its nice to know in the Day and Age of Chemicals humans are exposed to:

  1. The first time I used Diatomaceous Earth was in 2011 in the Basement of my home-we had a severe Flea Infestation.   
  2. Over-the-Counter Sprays and Foggers did not work for us even though we used as directed.  
  3. Since the Health of the kids was a concern we searched Google for Organic Flea Killer and learned about Diatomaceous Earth (DM).
  4. I learned: DM was affordable, organic, non toxic, food grade bug killer, so I experimented with using it.

  5. The product Organically and Painlessly worked to eliminate the Fleas from the basement in our Home.
  6. Use as directed via the product labels is a no brainer.
  7. As you can see from the pictures posted I still have a little left from the first treatment.
  8. Its now used around the Home to preventive insect infestations. The bag I purchased years ago to treat the Flea infestation has lasted an additional 4 years of preventive use- I estimate there is 2-3 more years left of treatments in the bag-a little goes a long ways.
  9. I bought the bag for under $25 via Amazon if memory is correct. 
  10. Yes I Recommend Diatomaceous Earth as an affordable organic alternative to toxic bug killers. Five Star Rating!

Renew Missouri adds Mark Walter as Deputy Director

Hi, my name is Mark Walter, and I'm the Deputy Director for Renew Missouri.

I'm very excited that Scott's Contracting has offered to make allow Renew Missouri to become contributors to the St. Louis Renewable Energy blog.  Before we start making substantive posts regarding our statewide policy efforts in Missouri, I wanted to take some time and explain a bit about who Renew Missouri is, what we do on a daily basis, and how you can get involved.

Founded in 2006 by our Director PJ Wilson, Renew Missouri is a policy organization dedicated to renewable energy and energy efficiency.  We are guided by our organizations mission:

To transform Missouri into a leading state in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency by 2016.

We've had some significant successes in the past with the help of our amazing supporters.  In 2007, we passed the Net Metering Act, which allowed renewable energy system owners to connect their systems to the grid and get credit for the energy they create.

Also, we were the political force behind the Renewable Energy Standard ballot initiative in 2008, which mandated that Missouri's investor owned utilities get 15% of their energy from renewable sources by 2021.  The RES passed with a whopping 66% of Missourians in support, and it's the law responsible for all of the solar rebates in our state.

With the advent of the solar industry, Renew Missouri also worked hard to spin off other industry organizations like the Missouri Solar Energy Industry Association (MOSEIA), Missouri Interfaith Power and Light (MO-IPL), to help strengthen the conversation about renewables and energy efficiency.

Unfortunately, we also have to spent a significant amount of time protecting the laws that we helped pass against legal attacks and legislation that would render it useless.  This past year, for example, we took Empire Electric to the Supreme Court for refusing to ever pay solar rebates in their territory.  We haven't heard the verdict from the Justices yet, but we're keeping our fingers crossed for a positive outcome.  You can read more about it here.

We plan to keep working hard to transform the energy landscape in Missouri to be cleaner, more sustainable, and better for the health and welfare of Missouri, but we need your help!  Subscribe to our newsletter on the website, attend our events, volunteer to help out, and donate to the cause!  We look forward to a future when Missouri doesn't rely on $1.6 BILLION of imported coal for its energy needs, and you can help us get there with your support!

Part 6 Ferguson Decision-Cover Up and Rigged

About a minute into McCulloughs report on the Case of Darren Wilson I posted this on Twitter:



Grand Jury proceeding and how unfair the proceedings actually are.    

This is only sustainable in relative ignorance of the US criminal justice system. It is a virtual certainty that the US grand jury will issue an indictment, if indeed it has not already done so. Civil advocacy groups, such as the Center for Constitutional Rights, or the American Civil Liberties Union, are unanimous on this point:
Since the prosecutor solely orchestrates the proceedings, it is no surprise that grand juries almost always serve as a rubber stamp for prosecution. A former chief judge of New York once famously noted that 'any prosecutor that wanted to could indict a ham sandwich.' In the rare event that a grand jury does not indict, the prosecutor can simply impanel a different grand jury and seek an indictment before a new grand jury.
Based on US Department of Justice statistics, it is extremely rare for a grand jury not to indict. In the year 2009, federal grand juries in the United States saw cases involving 69,254 suspects and voted to indict all but 20 of them. (This is denoted by "no true bill returned" in the document.) That is a approximately one in every three thousand five hundred suspects.These statistics are repeated year after year. Given that it is known that he is the target of a grand jury investigation, Julian Assange has in and around a 99.97% chance of being indicted.
 During a Grand Jury Proceeding: it is only the Prosecutor and the Jury.  Tell me how fair a US Court System is when there is only 1 Person presenting the evidence.  What that means is that we the public must trust the system (that created this mess) to act Righteously and Lawfully?

THE FIX WAS IN ALL ALONG IN FERGUSON

We all sat together, watched, listened together. Listened as the corrupt St. Louis County Prosecutor named Bob McCulloch, told the nation, told all of us, from San Francisco to Chicago to New York to Miami and to the heart of the tragedy, Ferguson, Missouri, that Darren Wilson, the police officer who killed Michael Brown, will not face charges. Yes, most of us expected it, dreaded it. But now it was real, it had actually happened. Justice denied, again. Again.

McCulloch stood there, and described an execution, then in the next breath said there was nothing to see here. He didn’t sound like any prosecutor I have heard before. He sounded much more like a defense attorney, the defense attorney for Darren Wilson. A prosecutor wants an indictment when they go to a grand jury so therefore in the almost non-existent cases where they don’t get one, they are distraught. Just as they are when they lose in case in court. McCulloch hardly seemed upset about the decision, in fact he seemed vindicated, just like a defense attorney would be after they got their client off.

I’m not surprised at all. I expected this decision. We all did. But like everyone else, I was dreading this moment. I knew the fix was in. There was something disquieting about watching McCulloch throwing that fact in our collective faces. He threw it in our faces and hid behind a grand jury. I don’t blame them at all. As all legal experts have said, the grand jury does what the prosecutor wants. This time he didn’t want an indictment so he stacked the deck to get the result he wanted. McCulloch is a coward, and just like a defense attorney who does not put everything on the line for their client, McCulloch should be forced out of office and not be allowed to practice law ever again. He put nothing on the line for Michael Brown, in fact, Brown, the VICTIM wasn’t represented at all. Part 5-I cant believe it either Grand Jury FergusonDecision

Unless you have been living without any news or internet you by now realize that the Grand Jury led by McCullouch returned a No-Indictment finding in favor of Darren Wilson when he shot and killed Mike Brown. Part 5-
I can't believe it either Grand Jury Ferguson
When I read that protests were held all around the World in the wake of the the GJ decision.  I am not the only one who feels the injustice of the situation.
