StLouis are you being Fair

The life of MLK was a little before my time on Earth.

But his message of: fairness for all- still resonates deep down inside me.

Fair treatment for everyone- Is not a lofty idea-it is the underlying reason that our Forefathers came to America and then revolted against England's unfair treatment.

The semi famous StLouis blogger Ms Barbara Heiss gets it when she posted:

Martin Luther King Day 2015 poignant for StL

Take pause, St Louisans, take pause!

“…One may well ask, “How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?”  The answer is found in the fact that there are two types of laws: there are just laws, and there are unjust laws.

I would agree with St Augustine that “An unjust law is no law at all.”

…A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law, or the law of God.  An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law….” see entire article here> http://www.blog.athomeinstl.com/martin-luther-king-day-2015-poignant-stl/

Its about fairness to me.

"I want a fair shot in my life- so I give a fair shot." Scotty 2015 MLKDay

Do you give everyone a Fair Shot?  Let me know in the comments or on social media.

#STLNFL Stadium Proposal Google Map Location

The City of StLouis

submitted a proposal for a new NFL Stadium that would accommodate both an NFL Team and a MLS Team!

Since I used to live and work in this proposed site location of the #STLNFL Stadium (here is a Google Map Snapshot for you to see where the proposed NFL Stadium location is).  I also added a few building locations (in Red) to the map in the first photo to make it easier to distinguish the buildings with all the currently unused, for sale and vacant land locations available to build on.

As you can see in the photos provided most of the area is already one big parking lot.  So I call that statement that claimed the area will be a parking lot is very misleading as it already is one giant parking lot.

I noticed a few tweets about tearing down buildings to build a giant parking lot and is why I provided this map overview to show you that the current location is mostly- vacant buildings, existing parking lots,  buildings that are for sale, and city property

The second photo of the proposed NFL Stadium Location

also from Google Maps shows many of the Streets Names, current Edward Jones Dome location, Four Season Hotel and Casino, Shady Jacks Saloon, and the Mississippi River.

Shady Jacks. Correction:1/11/15 per http://fox2now.com/2015/01/10/couple-with-business-in-planned-area-for-new-stadium-speaks-out/ it doesn't sound like Shady Jacks is for sale per this Faux News interview
While working for ShadyJack and Scott aka Slim Shady. I met many of the local business owners in the properties that are adjacent to and in the immediate area around Shady Jacks Saloon.

So the fact that company is willing to improve on this location that is considered part of Downtown StLouis I don't see as a detriment for the city at all, especially when no public taxes will be used to build the stadium per the statement by Dave Peacock.

Bonds, Naming Rights, Private Money, and Pre Sale of Seats were the proposed financing recommendations by  Mr. Peacock. via espn- Here's how the financing is expected to work according to Peacock and Blitz:

Private financing
  • NFL team ownership - $200-250 million
  • NFL (committed to match up to $200 million through G4 loan program) - $200 million
  • Total - $400-450 million

Potential public sources (all contingent on commitment of private financing)
  • Extension of bonds on Edward Jones Dome - $300-350 million
  • Missouri Development Finance Board support - $15-25 million
  • Brownfield tax credits (for improving blighted areas) - $25-30 million
  • Personal seat license proceeds - $120- $130 million
  • Total - $460-535 million

Peacock and Blitz Unveil Study for New St. Louis NFL Stadium

A concept for a new NFL stadium in St. Louis has been unveiled by Dave Peacock and Bob Blitz, who were appointed by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon to lead a task force to study a NFL stadium project on the North Riverfront area of downtown St. Louis that could be the new home for the St. Louis Rams. http://www.hok.com/about/news/2015/01/09/peacock-and-blitz-unveil-study-for-new-st-louis-stadium/

Frequently Asked Question

What if I move? You can simply assign your solar lease to your the homeowner. If you’d prefer however, you are able to buyout the lease and
move the equipment to your new home.

What if the system doesn’t work? We are confident that it will, we track over 50 of our installed systems over the past several years, and
those systems have averaged 6% more annual production than expected production. In the event that the system doesn’t produce as
expected, your lease payment will be reduced so that you will never pay more for solar energy than you would otherwise for utility energy.

Will hail damage the panels? The solar panels are rated for a 1” hailstone flying at 55 MPH perpendicular to the face of the solar panel…the
solar panels are designed to withstand large hail impacts.

What about maintenance? There is minimal/no maintenance required for these solar systems since there are no moving parts. Maintenance
for a Leased System is included in the lease.
